Jonathan is an experienced lawyer with a background in complex commercial real estate transactions and a particular focus on strategic advice and business development both with his clients and within the firm.
As legal adviser to some of the UK’s largest family offices, private companies and entrepreneurs he is trusted by his clients for his depth of experience in sales, purchases, joint ventures and leasehold transactions. A proportion of Jonathan’s practice is focused on inward investment into the UK from Continental Europe and the Middle East and in particular from Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia where Jonathan has strong connections.
In recent years Jonathan has become more involved with the private wealth team in evaluating the legal aspects surrounding the use and protection of digital assets.
Jonathan is particularly valued by his clients for his tactical and strategic advice in putting deals together and getting things done.
Before starting Quastels, Jonathan qualified and spent the first seven years of his career at Allen & Overy and then spent a few years SJ Berwin & Co before leaving to co-found Quastels with David Quastel in 1998. He has a degree in law from City Business School and from Trinity College, Cambridge.
