Marcus is a European. Having studied law at the Sorbonne, he ran the London office of a pre-eminent Paris law firm for several years before setting up his own boutique law firm in 2009. He works with start-ups, SMEs and larger companies, both in the UK and overseas, supporting them throughout their life cycle, helping them to grow their businesses, through acquisitions and organically, at home and abroad. He advises management and stakeholders, advising on routine business matters and in troubled times, dealing with new investors and as they exit.
Marcus has a wide range of experience in company mergers and acquisitions and advises on complex commercial contracts and diverse business models, including shareholders arrangements and joint ventures, licensing, distribution, concessions and franchises as well and e-commerce and publishing agreements.
As a fluent French speaker and natural linguist, Marcus has a strong international client base in high-end fashion, beauty and luxury goods, newspaper publishers, new technology companies and agribusiness. His clients range from SMEs to household names.
